Experiences
Most of what is out here is free
The coastal trail, the rocks, the sauna on the jetty and the rowing boat in the bay. The sea handles the entertainment; we lend out what is needed.

The sauna on the jetty
A wood-fired sauna at the far end of the jetty, with a ladder straight down into the sea. Book a slot at the front desk; the towels are already hanging out there. Coldest and best between November and March.
- Included for hotel guests
- Booked by the hour at the front desk
- Seats six
The coastal trail over the hill
The trail runs straight over the hill behind the house, past coves, heather moors and a lighthouse after four kilometres. Pack the breakfast thermos and head north; on the way back you can cut across the meadow.
- 4 km to the lighthouse, 9 km for the full loop
- Maps at the front desk
- Pushchair-friendly for the first kilometre

The rowing boat in the bay
The hotel's two rowing boats lie by the jetty and are lent out free of charge; life jackets hang in the outbuilding. Row out to the skerry in ten minutes and bring the coffee basket, which the kitchen packs if you order it the night before.
- Free to borrow for hotel guests
- Life jackets in every size
- Coffee basket ordered the night before
All year
Four seasons on the same bay
Spring
The eiders return and the terrace opens for breakfast against a sunny wall.
Summer
Swimming off the rocks all day, and an evening dip once the sea-side guests are already asleep.
Autumn
Chanterelles on the hill, the lobster season opening in September, and the sea at its warmest well into October.
Winter
Sauna, cold dips and dinner by the stove. Half the pleasure is the walk between the jetty and the warmth.
